2015/16 – Nice International Airport France: Technical Advisor to SDG/Ferrovial for Concession Bid

 

 

Re-development of Terminals 1 & 2 to meet demand from 11mppa to 22mppa for 26-year concession including terminal planning and landside re-planning. The project included existing asset assessment, capacity calculations of existing assets, sizing calculations for all facilities to 2043, concept designs for new terminals/piers/satellites, airport master plan to 2043, capex forecast for all developments to 2043, maintenance capex forecast for existing facilities and new developments to 2043, Red flag and final reports.

 

 

Typical tasks

Validate Realistic Capacities of Terminals

Review plans of terminals to determine the capacity of prime processors

T1 Functional Layouts

Prepare functional layouts of existing plans. Plan phased expansions and integrate with existing layout

Commercial Layouts

Review layout drawings when available, determine the proportion of space provided for flight assembly at the gates and suggest alterations if appropriate

T1 Basement Level

Review basement plan to identify area designated for baggage handling. Assess capacity of HBS and consider how future expansion can meet demand

Pax Split Between T1 & T2 and Proportional Split of Schengen & Non Schengen in Each Terminal

Ascertain proportional split of traffic in each terminal so that the phased expansion and gate/stand designation can be determined and agreed

Tramway Location & Integration

Obtain information of the plans for the new tramway, serving both terminals. How does the tramway interface with the existing landside infrastructure

Car Parking

Determine extent of any parking required in addition to the expansion of P3

Maintenance and Renewals

Refine current assumptions, which are high-level

Refine assessment of capex requirements especially if traffic decant strategy
